The Slideshow widget features collection items one at a time — ideal for featured posts, testimonials, or hero-style highlights. Visitors can search and filter the slide set, open an item page from the image, or checkout when payments are enabled.
The app binds data to this widget — not to native Harmony Text, Image, or Button elements. For dense lists use Table; for card grids use Repeater.
Use case examples
- Featured stories — Autoplay headlines with image, title, and a CTA button.
- Testimonials — Rotate quotes with optional filters by category.
- Product spotlight — Slides with Add to cart / Buy now (Pro) and click-through to a Dynamic Page.
Configure a Slideshow
Build with AI: Open AI setup at the top of the panel and describe slides, autoplay, and clicks — then refine in Manual. Details: AI setup.
- Add Slideshow from Add → Elements → Installed Apps → CMS for Harmony.
- Select the widget → open Settings.
- In Content, connect a data source and map fields.
- Optionally configure Search & filters, Data refresh, Dynamic page, Payments, Slideshow, Elements, Design, and Mobile.
- Publish the site.
Content

- Set Data source to Wix CMS or External Database (see External databases).
- Map Title, Text, Image, Button label, and Button link fields as needed.

Dynamic page

- Set When image is clicked to open the item page (or do nothing).
- Match Page path and Page link field to the Dynamic Page setup.
- Choose Open in.
- Set Video playback for video slides: Open in modal, Play on click, or Autoplay (muted). Image click actions still apply to image slides.

Payments
Where: Settings → Payments (Pro)
Show Add to cart / Buy now on each slide when the collection has catalog payments enabled.
