The guided setup wizard is not available before v17. Use accordion sections in Manual or AI setup instead.
The first time you open Settings on a new Table, Repeater, Slideshow, Media Gallery, Calendar, or Dynamic Page widget, CMS for Harmony can walk you through essentials before the full Manual overview. Form uses the same panel modes but does not use this wizard.
When it appears
The wizard shows when the widget has not finished first-time setup — for example no collection connected yet, or you have not dismissed the flow. If you already configured the widget, you land on the Manual overview (see Settings panel).
You can leave anytime with I’ll do it myself and use the overview or AI setup.
What the steps cover
Steps vary slightly by widget, but the flow usually includes:
- Collection — Pick a Wix CMS collection (or create one) and connect the widget.
- Fields — Choose columns, card fields, slide mappings, or template fields to show.
- Dynamic page (when relevant) — Turn on item-page links, set Page path, or use Make collection dynamic where the wizard offers it.
- Search & filters — Optional search bar, filters, and (on Wix CMS) visitor Sort options — same capabilities as Search & filters.
- Review — Confirm choices, then Open full settings to open the Manual overview with drill rows and feature toggles.
External database connections skip steps that require Wix CMS (for example Dynamic page and catalog payments).
After the wizard
- Open full settings — Opens Manual on the v17 overview home; use Panel on the doc page or the in-editor panel to explore rows.
- I’ll do it myself — Skips remaining wizard steps; you can configure everything from the overview or AI setup.
- Returning later — The wizard does not block you; open any drill row on the overview to change settings.
